UFO Postings - Brian Vike's Note To Visitors
To save a ton of time and to spend more time on the sighting reports, we have decided to hold off posting reports on all of my blogs, and post all new sighting reports to the Sightings.com website. I am going to leave all my blogs for now as a archive. There is a wealth of material on all blogs which I have listed below and are linked to the different blogs I have created. There are thousands of reports to look through, some are just amazing to see what folks witnesses and went through.
Please remember to visit Sightings.com for all the new reports I do receive.
Below is a list of the Vike Archives. (I was posting the new sightings to these blogs as well, but the blogs will start the archive from April 4, 2010)

4 Bright Orange Orb Like Objects Over Bridligton UK
Date: April 3, 2010
Time: 8.53 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Bridlington - Beverley road.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 4
Shape of Objects: Orbs.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: On our way back to York from Bridligton we (my husband, I and our ten year old daughter) sighted four bright orange orb like objects. Both I and my husband were travelling in separate vehicles. My husband flashed full beam and indicated to pull over. We then got out of our cars and stood and watched for what would have been a good few minutes.
One of the orbs shot away at immense speed, whilst the other three seem to linger and gradually went away out of sight.

1930's UFO Hovered Above Witness In Southern West Virginia
Date: 1930's
Time: Approximately 9:00 p.m.
This possible UFO sighting occurred around the mid to late 1930's in southern West Virginia. It occurred about 3 miles distant from the sighting my grandma had earlier in that decade of a possible UFO.
James, whose brother had married into our family, was a no nonsense kind of person. A hard worker ,who raised a large family, he was also known as one who was "afraid of nothing and no one".
On the night this happened, James had left the church which let out around 9:00 p.m. He had a long walk to his home down a country road known as Saw Mill Road. Often , especially after church services or revivals, groups of people would be walking together on the road to their respective homes. Whether or not James had such company for awhile isn't known, but he was definitely by himself when this event happened. As to whether anyone else in the area on their way home may have witnessed something unusual in the skies that night is unknown.
At any rate, not too far from the church, the road had a steep uphill grade. It was banked by a forest on one side and small meadow below on the right. As James reached the top of this hill, he began to feel uncomfortable. He wasn't afraid or spooked by anything, but the feeling that overcame him caused him to be wary. As we use to say "to put one's guard up". He looked around as he walked, but saw nor heard anything unusual.
He had reached the bottom of the hill and had walked less than five minutes further when something caused him to look behind him. It was never made clear whether it was a sound , a flash of light, or that feeling that someone was following that caused him to do this.
But in doing so, what he saw was a "large" ball of white light suspended very low and very near him. One thing he knew for certain about this was -- it wasn't the moon.
If James expressed sheer fear he never indicated it to his family when telling the story. In fact, there was never any indication that he was so frightened that he bolted.
His exact words were "the faster I walked, the faster it picked up speed". The object kept right up with him. It never attempted to overcome him or out distance him. Instead it tagged along behind him on the long road like a wary dog for approximately another mile.
When James reached the forks of the Saw Mill Road, the white ball of light had suddenly disappeared . "I looked one second and it was there. The next, it was gone." He had not witnessed whether it sped away or just blinked out.
Someone in later years suggested that the white ball of light might have been something like "swamp gas" or some such phenomena as that. I find it difficult to believe that a ball of "swamp gas" would tag along behind someone , making every twist and turn of the road, for a mile or so as this one did.
As far as I know, James never offered an explanation himself as to what he thought it might be. Given his character, I believe he just told the events as they happened and somewhere in his mind classified it as something that was profoundly out of the ordinary in his life. Something as it turned out would never happen again to him.
If you have seen anything like this in Southern West Virginia or somewhere in the world, would you please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

1937 Strange Lights And Cob Web Material Observed At Polo Missouri
Date: 1937 ?
Time: Evening
Dear Brian, I was just reading on Rense.com about a diary of a woman's sightings of 1931 and my memory was jogged.
My Father in law, God rest his soul, had stated to me that back on the 1930's (I'm trying to place a date my father in law went to WWII in 1941 so he must have been born in 1922 to enlist at 18 years of age. He was 15 or 16 years old, so the time was around 1937?)
He lived in Polo Missouri. This town is 35 miles North of Kansans City. One night he too had seen lights in the night, two nights in a row moving up and down in a wood grove about a mile from his house, he had stated that this was very strange due to no electricity in 1937. Others had seen the lights also and no one was going to investigate in the middle of the night. The light where colored not clear.
A few day later I guess my father in law went to the area in the day time and had found cob webs or material like cotton candy texture hanging from the trees. If you touched it this material would disintegrate instantaneously. He also had stated "their was a tingle left on your hand". His name was (name removed).
If you have seen anything like this in Polo Missouri or somewhere in the world, would you please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

1930's Red Glowing Fireballs Over Southern West Virginia
Date: Spring of 1932 or 1933
Time: EveningHi Brian, my grandmother lived in rural southern West Virginia near a small town nestled in the Appalachian foothills. There were very few cars in those days so most people walked to and from town or church often for miles along hilly paths or long stretches of isolated dirt roadways night or day.
It was in the spring of around 1932 or 1933 that grandma , who was in her 40's ,had been returning to her home from town which was just a couple miles away. It was near dusk when she found herself on a particularly isolated stretch of road near a hill the locals had dubbed "Water Tank Hill". At the time , she was the only one on the road and as far as she knew the only one who witnessed this event.
"Water Tank Hill" was known apparently then for its "ghost lights". Evidently, at some point in time, these ghostly lights were seen by various people as "red, glowing fireballs" which would zig zag or bob along this hill and adjacent ridges. As mysteriously as they would appear, they would disappear-- then reappear again in cycles.
Grandma had just started down the gentle slope in the road when suddenly something shot out just in front and above her in the sky from a ridge near the "infamous" Water Tank Hill. She said it had so startled her that she actually "froze " in midstep. The next thought in her mind was that she was looking at one of the "ghost lights". Her description of it therefore fit what the others had apparently been seeing during the nights---"red, glowing" or "fireball".
The next second she realized it had to be something other than a "ghost light" and that frightened her even more because she had no explanation at all for what she was seeing. The red object hovered (as I recall , it made no sound ) and she saw "protrusions" from the object. When I asked her just what she meant by that, her reply was 'well, like antennas or legs sticking out from it". It therefore in her mind was "machine", not "ghost" and this defied any concept of any machine she knew about. I asked her if it somehow could've been an airplane, but she shook her head emphatically 'no'.
She went on to say that once she saw these strange protrusions , she ran like "a scared rabbit" the rest of the way home. She didn't know if the object followed her for she was too afraid to look up. Once she got inside the house and bolted the door (a rare thing for one to do in those days, as people often left their doors unlocked all hours) , she wouldn't look out. My grandma was not the person who was easily frightened . But what she saw that spring night unnerved her for sometime.
It's just possible she was the only one who got a good look at the "ghost lights " that made their appearances around this hill.
From her description, I rather think that these lights were more UFO related than will o' wisps or ghost-related. Thank you.

17 Orange Lights Seen Over Lanesfield Wolverhampton UK
Date: April 2, 2010
Time: Approx: 21:45 to 22:15Hello Brian, last night 2nd April 2010 approximately 21:45 to 22:15 me and my wife saw 17 orange lights travelling south to north following one another approximately 1 - 1.5 minutes apart. They appeared to be at about 1,000 to 1500 feet high moving at 120 to 200mph. Through my binoculars they were pulsing and appeared to be conical in shape, they were completely silent.
We live to one side of the flight path to/from East Birmingham Air Port so are familiar with all aircraft, their sounds and their movements, these were definitely not any craft that I have ever experienced. Regards.

Police Officer Observes Giant UFO Over Tortono Ontario
Time: Approx: 2:00 p.m.
Location of Sighting: East Toronto.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Large gold ball glowing no tail.
Brian Vike's Note: The police officer mentioned that he texted his radio dispatcher by way of the computer enquiring if any other reports had been received over the object he witnessed. The dispatcher confirmed that some other folks had made calls over the sighting. So if anyone remembers back and had seen this object would they please contact Brian at sighting@telus.net Thank you.
Full Description of event/sighting: I am a Police officer employed by the City of Toronto Ontario. I have been so employed 29 years. In the Fall of 2004 in the afternoon I was assigned the traffic enforcement detail. To do this I use a Laser speed measuring device. In the afternoon I was on a major north south road in the city's east end. I was seated inside my parked auto facing north. I was looking at the heavily overcast skies when something caught my eye.
I looked directly overhead and saw a large golden orb. It glowed but had no discernable tail. It was within the clouds but the bottom of the orb was slightly lower and visible. The clouds were low, but I could tell this object was huge. It moved northbound at a high rate of speed causing a wake in the clouds. I could see it was indeed an orb from a distance before it went out of sight. In 4 - 6 seconds it was gone.
After several minutes I texted my radio dispatcher by way of the computer and asked if there were any calls for a meteor or lights in the sky. The dispatcher after several minutes confirmed some calls did come in regarding lights in the sky.
I kept my sighting to myself and made no report to my superiors. I fully expected something in the evening news about a meteor in the sky. There were no news reports to my knowledge. Before this incident I had little interest in UFO sightings etc.
If you have seen anything like this in Toronto Ontario or somewhere in the world, would you please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

UK Traffic Police Officer Caught UFO On Patrol Cars Video Camera (Video Footage)
Brian Vike's Note: As of yet the object in this video footage has not been explained. UFO Hunters the TV UFO documentary aired the footage in one of their shows, they had an expert look at the footage and the object in it and no answer came from him as well.
Brian Vike's Note: I have been asked to remove the actual day of this sighting, which I have done in this report. So the date reads, May 2003. I of course will protect the identity of the police officer and the person who sent me the report, photo and map. Also the footage will be posted when it arrived to me.
Hi Brian, a Traffic Officer some years ago in my force handed me a Digital-8 tape from one of the patrol vehicles. The Officer had been travelling westbound on the A59 road between Skipton and Bolton Abbey, lovely towns in North Yorkshire, UK. This was a routine patrol, (actual day of sighting removed by Brian Vike) May 2003 approx 2130 hours – the time and date is accurately shown on the speed-detection overlay the pursuit vehicles are equipped with.
Below Photo: The red arrow shows where the UFO is sitting in the sky. The other two lights below the object, they are a reflection from the lights in the police patrol car.
The officer of course had a far better view than the limited resolution of the camera. The Officer remarked that the light was clearly made up of a packed cluster of small, very bright lights. It kind of shocked the officer greatly and you can see the vehicle’s speed slow down as the officer tries to take in the scene. The officer is experienced and well used to the Nightsun searchlights of the neighbouring force’s Police Helicopter and the officer was adamant this was not such a searchlight. No sound was heard (granted the officer was inside a moving Subaru Impreza, a fast chase car not noted for quiet travel as our local speedsters can attest when caught! The Officer feels this was not a fighter aircraft with reheat engaged (afterburn).
Anyway, despite this being rather old now, the officer didn’t wish any attention at all over this and asked me to hide their identity. I have protected name, gender and exact date in the video-capture. I ask if you use any of this report you describe the date as just ‘May 2003’ avoiding the day completely.
I have a DivX of the display at about 9MB. The full uncompressed unedited Digital-8 capture to pc is about 209 MB. I would just need time to mask off the day from the speed detection overlay (once I figure that with Premiere!). Let me know if you’d like the video, and how to get it to you. I hold the original Digital-8 tape.
Please don’t ID me either, please use ‘anon police officer’ if you like.
The video is not remarkable, it shows a white light slowly flare up to a peak brightness, then fade out again (I checked, it wasn’t Iridium’s) I enclose GIFs of a video-capture of a frame, and a detailed Ord map of the witnesses’ position relative to the image capture, also showing the approximate direction of the object from the officer. Distance was impossible to guess.
Thank you to the person for sending along the report, photo and map. Video footage was "given" to me, Brian Vike, and is copyright 2009 to Brian Vike.

Bright White-Yellow Object Over Palmer Alaska
Time: Approx: 1:00 a.m.
Location of Sighting: Palmer Alaska.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was getting ready for bed at around 1:00am or so and I heard a sound like a plane, but not quite. We get lots of small planes, helicopters, and larger planes high up, but this was very low flying and I heard no further sound as I watched it for several minutes.
It was bright white-yellow and round with no other lights and no vertical or horizontal movement.
Has anyone mapped the trajectory of the object(s) based on sightings yet?

1930s UFO Sighting Over Confederation Park Burnaby British Columbia
Date: Late 1930s
Time: Summer afternoon.
Location of Sighting: Confederation Park, Burnaby, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Round balls of fire.
Full Description of event/sighting: A friend who is in his late 70s told me this story today. He said that when he was 10 or 11 years old, he and two friends (now deceased) were playing in the bush in Confederation Park in Burnaby, that would make it the summer of 1937 or 1938. He said he and his friends heard a roaring sound and he ran out of the trees to Willingdon Avenue and saw two streaks of smoke in the sky coming from the east parallel to the ground and at a fairly low altitude.
As the smoke trails got closer he saw two round balls of fire at the head of the trails. Suddenly the two fireballs roared like a rocket straight up at a ninety degree angle and disappeared into a clear blue sky. He said that today he would compare them to jets, but of course there were no jets back then. He still remembers the incident even after the amount of time that has transpired.

1924 UFO Sighting Over Alert Bay British Columbia
Date: Around 1924
Time: Afternoon.
Location of Sighting: Alert Bay, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Star.
Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, recently I was talking to my 93 year old father about UFO reports in Canada and I mentioned that I've not yet come across any before the 1930's. He suggested I tell you about what he and a friend saw in the 1920's. He was 9 years old at the time.
Dad attended school part of every year in the small community of Alert Bay just off the east coat of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. The other part of his schooling was in Vancouver.
Late in the school year, probably early June, dad and his best friend decided to enjoy the sunshine and have their school lunch break outside on the nearby beach. As soon as they finished eating they lay on the beach behind a log and looked up at the sky, as school boys might do. Other than a few small clouds rapidly moving in the prevailing west wind and an occasional seagull the sky was clear, blue and empty.
Then directly above them they saw three very bright stars in a triangular formation. They didn't twinkle as night time stars often do. Dad and his friend were intrigued. Neither of them had ever before seen stars in the daylight. They looked at them for a while but as the stars just sat there they soon lost interest. A few times during the lunch hour they took another look and they were still in the exact same position in the sky.
Several hours later, when school finished for the day, dad looked up and the stars were still there. By the time he got home and went in for dinner, they still had not moved.
He mentioned to his parents that he had seen stars during the daylight and their only comment was to say "how nice, weren't you lucky".
The next day the sky was again a clear blue and the boys looked for the three stars. There were none to be seen.
So what had they seen?
Being just a child at the time, dad truly believed he was looking at stars. Flying Saucers and UFO's were unknown. Although weather balloons did exist they were not deployed in the remote regions of the B.C. coast and even if they were, they would not have remained completely unmoving for at least five hours. The thousands of war time balloons from Japan were not sent for another 20 years.
The natural movement of stars would have moved the three lights across the sky, if they really were stars. If you look at the stars in the night sky they "appear" to move quite quickly. They would never be in the same place after several hours. The field of aviation was not advanced enough in those days to have aircraft that could just sit there and I doubt that anything so experimental would be found several hundred miles from the nearest airfield anyway!
Dad is not saying, and neither am I, that the "stars" he saw were flying saucers. However they definitely were Unidentified Flying (or floating) Objects. Whatever they were, they made a lasting impression on him as I recall him talking about the "stars" when I was just a child. Apparently over the years he often tried to see more daylight stars but never did.
There is just one more part to this story. Perhaps it is just a coincidence. April 2007 I sent you the missing time event you titled something like "92 year olds missing time Vancouver Island". Well, the missing time event took place a very few miles from where dad saw his three star like UFO's. Only the missing time took place over 50 years later.
Thanks Brian, for all the work you are doing in sharing all the interesting stories from around the world.

Hovering UFO Releases Egg Shaped Craft On Kootenay Lake North Of Boswell B.C.
Date: Early 1960s
Time: Approx: 2:00 a.m.
Brian Vike's Note: The man I chatted with is putting me in touch with one other person who was there are saw this strange event unfold.
Four teens left Creston, BC for a camping trip along side of Kootenay Lake just North Of Boswell, BC for the weekend. The fellows arrived at their camping location at around 10:00 p.m., set up the tents/camp and wandered about the area for a couple of hours goofing around. Later on after chatting and watching the sky they shut things down for the night which was about 2:00 am.
Just after they turned in a brilliant light caught everyone's attention (lit the entire area up) and the guys crawled out of their tents to watch a large yellow/white globe (massive is size) descended and hovered over the lake at approx: 1000 feet, this happening directly out from their camp site. A small bright egg shaped object came out of the bottom (?) of the larger craft and descended to just over the lakes surface, and this also came to a hovering position.
From what the witness told me the egg shaped craft caused quite a disturbance on the water as it sat over the water's surface, although the teens were not able to see what it may have been doing, they were able to hear the sound of rushing water. After approx 20 to 30 seconds had past while watching this event, the smaller egg shaped craft traveled back up from where it came from, and back inside the large stationary globe.
Roughly ten seconds passed and the enormous globe traveled towards the north until they lost sight of it. Everyone was pretty scared and they all stayed awake that night, packed up their belongings and left for home early the next morning.
If you have seen anything like this over Kootenay Lake, British Columbia or somewhere in the world, would you please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

UFO Hovers Overhead Witness At Pierrefonds Quebec
Date: Summer 1970 - 1971
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Pierrefonds, Quebec.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: The following is a cut and paste from a recent email I sent to a friend of mine who was curious about my story, so I decided to share it with you.
I was around 9 years old living in the West Island of Montreal. I have trouble nailing down the actual year but I can guess around 1970 - 71. I was on the main floor of our 2 storey home watching TV when my mom yelled from the upstairs bathroom to let our dogs out to do their business.
I opened the sliding thermo pane doors in the kitchen. After the dogs ran out to the yard, I stepped outside onto the raised concrete patio to wait for them to do their thing. I was on the patio for no more than a few seconds when I looked in the night sky directly above my head.
What I saw was a circular object and it was certainly not the moon. It was silent and not moving. If I could describe the size of the object, it would be comparable to holding a silver dollar (or Canadian $1 Loonie) in your fingers tips at arm's length against the sky.
I would venture a guess from my days as a novice student pilot that it was probably 1,500 feet overhead. The object was very bright and did not emit light. Actually, the light was contained within the object itself and had a shimmery effect. I watched the object for approximately one minute.
I guess I was waiting for it to display some sign that it was a conventional aircraft or some thing that I could identify with as a 9 year old. There was nothing conventional about this object and I knew that intuitively enough to poke my head inside the house and yell upstairs to my mother "quick come downstairs you have to see this thing".
My mother would not be taken away from her pre-bedtime routine and yelled something back indicating she was not interested. After my mother's refusal to witness, I went back to my position and continued to observe the object.
It remained motionless for another 30-45 seconds. What happened next was mind bending and certainly displayed unconventional characteristics. The object, in the blink of an eye, shot straight up and stopped. It had accelerated upward and then came to a resting state for about 4 or 5 seconds.
If you blinked you would have missed it or it was so fast that you might as well have blinked. Going back to my coin comparison, the object was now smaller and comparable to the diameter of a nickel held at arms length in your finger tips, and it was visibly further away.
After another 4-5 seconds, the object did it again and shot straight up and came to a stop. Our little spaceship is now the size of say less than half of what is was before and visibly further away from it's prior position. So the object repeated it's accelerated movement after remaining in a motionless state for 4-5 seconds.
Then again it pulsed/shot straight upward and when it stopped it was so high in the night sky that it looked like one of the stars. Then, after a few seconds, it just blinked and was gone as if it was a light that had been turned off. I remember much of that night like it just happened.

Bright Luminous UFO Lands And Takes Off At Topley Landing, British Columbia
Date: Early Spring of 1972
The second sighting I was alone. I am a heavy duty mechanic and was working for the Houston, B.C. branch of Finning Tractor at the time on a temporary transfer. During one of my field outings in early spring (not sure of the date) I had just completed repairs on a piece of logging machinery on a landing of a logging operation near Topley Landing on Babine Lake. Dusk was setting in as I travelled the logging road back to the highway and the trip back to Houston.
As I began across another landing on the logging road, I was startled to see what appeared to be a bright luminous sphere across the landing to my left. Venturing a guess I would say that the sphere may have been between 10 and 20 feet in diameter.
The sphere rose upward off the landing and almost immediately began to accelerate upward at an incredible rate until it was out of sight. The time from first sighting on the ground until it was out of sight could not have been more than 5 seconds. Events like this make one entertain the thought that perhaps I was hallucinating as this does not fit in with my normal worldview.
I hope you find this interesting and that it could tie in with similar sightings in the same time frame and locations.

Prince George British Columbia A Black Triangle UFO
Date: Approx: July 1999
Location of Sighting: Country/Rural.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Triangle.
Full Description of event/sighting: Sometime in July of 1999, I was outside throwing a ball for my dog, I looked up, and there was a Black Triangle about 50 feet above me. It made absolutely no sound, and didn't move at all. It was not transparent, I could not see through it, at the time, thinking I was just seeing things, I looked back down, then up again, and it was gone.
